Swamp Pussy Cabaret -Dead Dolls at Cafe Cleopatra [Jan. 29th, 2009|01:58 pm]

poonannay

                     The Dead Dolls Cabaret is pleased to present The Swamp Pussy Revival Cabaret

Montréal’s favourite dancing ghouls are wriggling from the seamy underbelly of the city with their 2nd annual February cabaret.

Be sure to catch this one - when it comes to delectably filthy bump-‘n-grind, raucous onstage orgies
and unwilling audience participation, no one does it better than the strangely compelling Dead Doll Dancers!

The Dolls have smeared their particular brand of sleaze over seven years’ worth of stages,
from the dirtiest dives to Canada Council-sponsored venues.

With a ravenous following ranging from brand-spanking-new lesbians to professional gentlemen old enough to know better,
this event is sure to be as popular as November 2008’s “Haunted Ho-Down”,
which featured two Dolls wrestling in a kiddie pool full of vanilla pudding.
How will they top that? You’ll have to be there on February 21st to find out …

Featuring guest artists Big Moves, the perennially popular Boston burlesque troupe dedicated to fat positivity;
Nat King Pole, the carrot-topped drag rapper adored by ladies everywhere,
and the Dakini Dancers with their fusion style of baladi.
Samba Ritmundi will show us the sexy way Brazilians celebrate carnival and other guests to be confirmed.

Looking for a lift to Montreal on Thursday/Friday & back to Toronto on Sunday/Monday.
Any of the next three weekends would work!

I'm a quiet non-smoker with an iron bladder (two stops is one more than I'm used to).
I will obviously contribute toward gas.

Please comment here (comments are screened) or email me at misskitty . 79 @ gmail . com

*fingers crossed*

100 Ways to Tell if you're a Swinger [Jan. 17th, 2008|10:48 am]

1. You get really tired of not making it to McDonalds before they quit serving breakfast Sunday morning (on your way home).

2. You're at the market, and the only things in your basket are condoms, breath mints and Red Bull.

3. On vacation you set aside time to stage a bunch of photos that are acceptable to show to your family.

4. You buy lap dances for your wife... And vice versa.

5. Your sexual fantasies never last very long... Because they keep coming true!

6. At your "normal" parties no one can go into the basement because you're afraid someone will notice the
sex-swing.

7. You know exactly which of your friends are allergic to latex.

8. You start having withdrawals after two days without internet access.

9. The movie "Swingers" was a huge disappointment to you.

10. You've closed your e-mails with "Bi Bi".

Kasidie Magazine, for swingers by swingers [Jan. 4th, 2008|10:54 am]
alt.lifestyles, culture and sex...

kasidie
Relax, it’s Just Sex
Kasidie.com, a new online magazine for swingers, by swingers, aims to topple misconceptions and encourage an open dialogue about sexuality in today’s culture.

(Denver, Co, January 3, 2007) - Kasidie.com today announced its launch of a new online magazine published, edited, and written by one of this country’s most controversial and misunderstood sub-cultures: Swingers.

In the United States alone, the number of people involved in the swinging lifestyle is estimated to be as high as eight million; the majority being highly educated and affluent young white-collar professionals. Yet swinging (commonly referred to as “the lifestyle”) has had a decided lack of accurate PR, and most Americans’ views on the subject remain steeped in stereotypes and moral judgments.

Kasidie.com is a total departure from what the general public might expect to find in an online swinger magazine. With no personal classified ads, chat rooms, or gratuitous pornographic material, Kasidie has taken an intellectual and creative approach to exploring the lifestyle of swingers. Through information, conversation and some sexy stimulation, Kasidie aspires to overturn prejudices and preconceived notions about sexuality and the modern swinging lifestyle.

“Most people hear the word ‘swinger’ and they immediately focus on the sex” says Kasidie’s publishers, Scott and Nicoleta, “But the swinging lifestyle is really not about sex, it’s about sexuality and it’s about friendship. We wanted to create a publication that reflects that and focuses on the lives, thoughts and real issues of the people who are a part of the lifestyle. Kasidie magazine is not just for swingers, it’s about swingers. It’s a lifestyle magazine with particular emphasis on life & style.”

Kasidie’s contents range from the controversial, such as the autobiographical article A Very Hard Question of Faith: The Life of a Christian Swinger, to the playfully erotic, such as the visually stimulating reviews of various sexual aids in their Kasidie Labs Playtests. Other features include: Couple of the Month: showcasing real couples from the lifestyle community; Exclusive Interviews with notable or influential people in the areas of swinging and sexuality; even humor and advice columns. Kasidie.com will also feature the largest and most comprehensive collection of lifestyle parties and club listings on the internet.

Kasidie.com does not intend to preach swinging, nor does it aim to convert others to any sexual sub-culture. Kasidie magazine is meant to be a fun, sexy and informative place for people to learn and exchange ideas about the swinging lifestyle. The publishers hope that anyone with an open mind might come away with a more tolerant and understanding view of swingers, their community and perhaps even their own sexuality.

class action brought by the Association for Access to Abortion

"On August 17, 2006, the Superior Court of the District of Montréal granted a class action brought by the Association for Access to Abortion. The class action requires the Québec government to reimburse the sums of money that certain women had to pay in order to obtain a voluntary interruption of pregnancy.

You could be eligible to receive compensation if you paid a sum of money to obtain a voluntary interruption of pregnancy and if:
  • you were covered by the Québec Health Insurance Plan when you underwent the procedure;
  • you obtained the procedure between May 2, 1999 and February 22, 2006 at one of the following clinics:
    • Centre de santé des femmes de Montréal (Montreal);
    • Clinique de l’Alternative (Montreal);
    • Clinique l’Envolée (Montreal);
    • Clinique médicale Fémina (Montreal);
    • Clinique Latitude (Québec City);
    • Clinique Morgentaler (Montreal).
A claims process has been set up and the Court has designated the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec as the claims administrator. In keeping with its obligation, the Régie will ensure that the steps taken by women to submit an application, and their claim files, will remain confidential throughout the claims process.

You must submit your application no later than September 7, 2007, using the claim form (PDF, or call: 1-866-504-9993).
